Košice Airport in 2017
In terms of connectivity, 2017 was the most successful year in the history of Košice Airport, which offered regular flights from the metropolis of Eastern Slovakia to as many as 9 destinations in 7 different countries of the world, namely Bratislava, Vienna, Prague, Warsaw, Tel Aviv, Istanbul, Cologne, London, and Doncaster-Sheffield.
What is more, if you include flights based on one transfer, more than 500 destinations are easily reachable from Košice Airport thanks to network airlines such as Austrian Airlines, Czech Airlines, Polish Airlines, and Turkish Airlines. As far as the number of inbound and outbound passengers is concerned, 2017 is the second best year to date. In 2017, Košice Airport managed to check in as many as 496,708 passengers, which means an increase of 13.7% – or an additional 60,012 passengers – compared to the previous year, mainly thanks to the best summer charter season ever, new flight connections to Cologne and Tel Aviv, and good overall figures on all other regular connections.
